Travel Insurance Overview
When traveling internationally, it is recommended to review your hazard and health insurance policies. Not all policies cover incidents internationally and if they do, they may require payment in full at the time of treatment and subsequent application for reimbursement.
We do not believe that ECO-tourism travel in Costa Rica increases your risk of accident. However, it is always advisable to review your current insurance coverages.
You have spent a lot of time planning your trip. Make sure that you are covered in the event of a challenge with travel or an accident or illness.

Travel Insurance may be obtained to cover some or all of the following:
- Trip Cancellation
- Illness prior to trip
- Job Interruption; last minute conflict or layoff
- Baggage and Personal Effects
- Emergency Accident and Sickness
- Automobile Collision Damage
Evaluating if you need Travel Insurance:
Think about your trip and the activities you have scheduled. Review your current policies to determine if the above items are covered where applicable. Some carriers may provide a rider for a specific amount of time to cover your trip. If not, there are several resources that provide one time coverage.
